Old Kuopio Museum- website

The Old Kuopio Museum strives to guarantee the accessibility of its website in compliance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019). This accessibility statement applies to the website kuopionkorttelimuseo.fi and its subpages.

Web accessibility status

In designing and implementing the Old Kuopio Museum- website, efforts have been made to take into account both the legislation and guidelines on the accessibility of online content. The site meets the AA requirements of the WCAG 2.0 criteria and estimates that they are largely met. Accessibility will continue to be taken into account when updating the site. The accessibility has been assessed by an internal operator.

Non-accessible content

The website contains one image gallery on the front page, which you cannot control yourself. Content moves without the ability to stop it. The main function of this gallery is to act as a visual element on the site and the user will not lose any relevant information due to automation.

The website contains content that is not controlled by a keyboard alone. Content that requires the use of a mouse, touch screen, or other cursor includes image galleries, media content such as videos, and 3D-objects shared through Sketchfab. The content requires the use of a cursor to work, and unfortunately it is not possible to use a replacement mechanism.

The website contains some media content produced before 23 September 2018, such as videos for which no text alternatives are available. There is a text alternative or caption for newer media content. Older video and audio material published on the website will be brought into compliance with the accessibility requirements no later than 23 September 2020, when the transition period will expire.

The website contains documents (pdf), not all of which are accessible. Non-accessible documents were created before 23 September 2018. Our website was mainly published before 23 September 2018. It is subject to the accessibilityrequirements’ transition period and may not fully meet the accessibility requirements. The transition period for the old pages will end on 23 September 2020. The newer pages mainly meet the accessibility requirements.

If you notice accessibility issues on our website first give feedback to the website administrator. It may take up to 14 days to reply. We welcome feedback, questions, and suggestions for improvement to improve the accessibility of the site. Supervisory authority

If you are not satisfied with the response received or do not receive a response at all within two weeks, you can notify the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland. The Agency- website provides details on how you can lodge a complaint and how the matter will be processed.
